More about Chiropractic?
Chiropractic is a well-established, health care profession that specialises in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal and neuromuscular systems. Although better known for treating spinal problems, Chiropractors actually treat many other areas of the body as well, such as hips, shoulders, knees, elbows, etc.
Our Chiropractors are endorsed by the British Chiropractic Association and the General Chiropractic Council. They use a variety of techniques including gentle specific spinal manipulation, soft tissue therapy, ultrasound, dry needling, exercises as well as advice about posture and lifestyle. Offering a range of treatment options means that we can effectively treat patients of all different ages. Many of our older patients find that it helps to ease joint pains caused by wear and tear. Pregnant women find it helps to ease the strain of pregnancy, and post-natally, chiropractic treatment helps to alleviate niggling back pains associated with the care of young children. We routinely see infants and children, as well as sports people who use our services to manage and prevent injuries, and to keep them in peak condition.
Spinal manipulation has been recommended by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) as a treatment of choice for chronic low back pain1 and has been shown to be effective in cases of neck pain, migraine, cervicogenic headache and cervicogenic dizziness2.
